I guess I never thought of Drew Berrymore as a smart person, and apparently the Onion feels the same way. In this video, they mock Drew Berrymore by running a story about a new coloring book that Drew was releasing. “Drew poured her heart and soul into all 400 words in the book.”

Drew Berrymore is truly an inspiration to everyone… I’ll have to give this to my nieces as a present.

Generally, this is pretty much how I feel about the news… just some random story about people I’ll never meet doing something that is borderline newsworthy.  Another great job by the Onion.

My favorite line:

“Authorities in special uniforms rushed to the scene to stand around while our crews filmed them”

Why do news stories always have this shot?  Uniformed people standing behind the police line and chatting?  Sort of undermines their hard work, doesn’t it?

Is it a stereotype when it’s true?  This is literally exactly how Green Bay Packers fans are!  I should know, since many of the people who visit this site are “Packer Backers”.  I don’t really get the appeal of the Packers, but then again, I carry the weight of the tortured soul of a Minnesota Vikings fan.

Not sure if Johnny Knoxville agreed to this video, but it’s a good one.  The premise?  A bunch of “slutty” women are in a bus to take part on his show, and the bus crashes.  Chaos ensues.

I must warn you that there is some NSFW language, and just a tinge of nudity from one of the “sluts” – buyer beware.

I particularly love this video because my family had a Ford Taurus station wagon growing up, or as my sister called it “a grocery getter.”

Grocery getting aside, our family managed to get a lot of mileage out of this beast, and my sister was able to completely pimp out the stereo system, complete with a bass cannon!  Damn that bass cannon was cool!

Anyway, the folks at the Onion do it again with their sarcastic perspective on saving money; just buy a really old piece of shit car.  A Ford Taurus is a natural fit.

A little late on the Halloween theme, but here’s a great video from the Onion.  If you have an effeminate child, you can save them from getting beat up if you have them be the following:

Finally my day job and my hobby website converge on a topic that is hilarious on both fronts.   Leave it the Onion to make a parody of something that is extremely current and relevant: the increased presence of parents on Facebook, and to a lesser extent, Twitter.

I have personally witnessed this phenomenon, as several of my aunts are avid Facebook users (in fact, they might be reading this note right now, as it posts to my Facebook “notes” page.  Hi!

In this video, an “e-mom” looks at all of the college photos of her son, looks at his photos, checks up on potential love interests and more.  She’ll even form opinions about the girls he dates, and warn the girls to “keep their slut hands off her son” – things that any concerned parent already does.  Now they can do it electronically!

Her Twitter page is even more hilarious, as she reveals the formula for stalking your kid.  “You just pick a name that’s very common, and then you add the year that your son or daughter was born… just make sure you spell things wrong and swear a lot.”

Great work by the Onion!

It’s funny because it’s true!!

Actually, I am definitely intrigued by the angle that the Onion took in this video.  Do Mexicans really just hate stupid Americans?  They have every right to!  Most of the DB’s that you see on TV deserve a beating.   I have never been a big Spring Breaker, so I am excluded from this video… are you???

Kudos to the Onion once again for their ability to make anything funny.  In this video, they talk about Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson as if she is a horse.  A horse who just broke her leg and had to be euthanized.

Some classic lines from her “parents” in this video, talking about how since she couldn’t compete in Gymnastics anymore, or if she did compete, she wouldn’t be the same, they had to put her down.   They didn’t even get a chance to breed her!  However, they will raise other gymnasts, and the next one will be named “Spirit of Shawn.”  I can’t wait to see her compete in the 2024 Summer games!

This has been in my queue for a while, so I have just decided to post it with little explanation.
