For those not previously indoctrinated into the Jake and Amir video series, this video would probably appear to be, well, creepy. In fact, for those familiar with Jake and Amir, this is still pretty creepy! The premise is that Jake is sitting on the toilet, going #2, when Amir looks over the stall to see what he’s doing. Jake doesn’t notice, and continues about his business while doing his business.
Amir Eats a Chip in the Bathroom
Amir gets bold and starts to test the boundaries a little bit and Jake still doesn’t notice. Amir gets even more bold and opens a bag of chips while standing completely above the toilet. We even see shades of Mission Impossible when he drops a chip and picks it up right before it hits Jake. Things are going well for Amir, and he’s undetected up until the point that he offers Jake one of the chips. Hilarity ensues!
It’s funny how things come full circle. A few years ago when I was really into MySpace, I was updating my page all the time, adding funny videos, pictures, etc. and constantly changing them. It was basically a way of showing everyone the funny videos that I have seen and writing a 1-2 line comment about them. This is actually where I got the idea for Funny Video Search. I figured that if I could entertain a few friends every week by posting this stuff, I might as well make a site for the masses. Now this site is up, and the only visitors I get are STILL my friends, so I’m not sure that it worked.
With that said, the reason why I say things have come full circle is that on my MySpace page today, there is still a video embedded on there that is from the last time that College Humor posted a prank war… all the way back in 2007. The fact that this video is still prominently displayed on that page shows two things: 1) I don’t care about MySpace anymore and 2) this most recent prank has been years in the making.
The prank on my page features Amir at Yankee Stadium setting up his friend Streeter with a marriage proposal to his girlfriend on the jumbotron. It was really well done and I thought it was absolutely hilarious. It also served as a foray into my daily viewership of College Humor original videos. These videos are short enough to hold my attention, and are very funny. They have become one of the sites that I track regularly for this site as a result.
And this is where things come full circle. I went to their site because of that video. I arguably started THIS site because of that video, and now I am posting the sequel, almost 2 years after the original. I hope that you all can enjoy, becuase this is a great prank!
For this video, Streeter sets up Amir by having a mutual friend take him to a University of Maryland Terrapins basketball game. At that game, they arrange for Amir to take the half court shot for $500,000. Blindfolded!
Without ruining the video for you, I just need to let you know that after Amir is selected, he goes back stage to do paperwork. At that time, Streeter tells the entire crowd the premise behind the prank, and tells them to cheer for Amir no matter what happens. Hilarity ensues.
Congrats to Streeter for finally getting Amir back! Can’t wait to see the next round. Just hope that it comes sooner than later. Hopefully this site will be around too. Otherwise, I will be posting it on my Friendster page!
Not going to get to crazy about telling you to vote (not going to use reverse psychology like all of those celebrities, either), but you should vote just as a good habit. If you are too lazy to vote, then you should really rethink your priorities.
Anyway, this is a good video from my buddies Jake and Amir where they go through the voter registration process. Lots of great one-liners here.
Favorite line #1:
“Honestly, I’m leaning toward voting for both. Michael Both, the Libertarian candidate.”
Another favorite:
“I’m conflicted, because one guys says one guy is bad, and the other guy says the other guy is bad. So I think I’m just going to vote for the last person to talk.”
One of my favorite sites in the world is Jake and Amir. Two guys at College Humor who post stupid 2-4 minute videos several times per week. This particular video probably isn’t the funniest video they have ever had, but solid nonetheless.
