If there are two things that I like more than anything else, it’s high fives and sports. If you wanted to add a third thing into the fold, it would be “mugging” for the camera. This video has all of this and more. Basically, two awesome dudes (more awesome than you and me combined) got paid to have a camera follow them around the Super Bowl festivities while high-fived each other. Sounds like a dream job to me.
There are some great cameos in this video… almost too many to count. Kim Kardashian, Tiki Barber, the Colts, the Saints, Don Johnson and Pamela Anderson to name a few.
Just watch it… and don’t take my word for it either! This was recommended to me by not one, but TWO Amandas!
I must admit, I have grown to love the show Jersey Shoreon MTV. I originally just watched it to make fun of it, but I have to be honest, some of these people are hilariously self aware know exactly what they are doing with the “jerz guido” look and stereotype. They are conscious of the fact people make fun of them, embrace it, and actually encourage it to a certain extent. It’s almost to the point that I respect some of these people for knowing exactly who they are in life. Most people can’t say that.
In addition, their publicity tour across America since the show aired has been pretty entertaining as well. I already linked to the Jersey Shore Christmas Story on Jimmy Kimmel (in that video, I called them stupid and said they “have no idea how dumb they look on TV” – now that I have watched several more episodes of the show, I am convinced that they know exactly what they are doing. I can’t help but respect that.
Here is a decent video making fun of Tiger Woods starring the guy from NBC’s Community. It starts off a little slow and gets fairly creepy at the end… sort of like the whole Tiger Woods saga did…

These lines start off the Aziz Ansari documentary about his character Raaaaaaaandy (8 a’s) that he started telling us about a few months ago when he was on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. On that show he talked about his character Randy (as well as his cousins and Kanye West). Within the past few weeks, he has released the mocumentary videos that compliment the character.
Some pretty hilarious stuff here – fake frat humor jokes, pasting his head on porno movies, and much more. I consider these to be “must watch” videos.

The WTF Blanket / Snuggie makes a comeback… and basically ruins everyone’s lives. I still hate the Snuggie as much as I did last time I wrote about it, but I still feel compelled to post about it.

The good folks at Funny or Die came out with a fake expose about the Snuggie and the dangers that people face when wearing them. Most of the dangers revolve around laziness, which makes sense, because Snuggies are for lazy people who suck at life. If you are too lazy to watch TV with a regular blanket, then you have bigger problems than cold hands.
This one is hot off the presses and very timely. Lindsay Lohan, America’s favorite celebrity to Gossip about, and fresh off a break-up with Samantha Ronson, has decided to do a fake eHarmony profile for the Funny or Die website.

In the video, she addresses all of the rumors about her, claims that she is not broke (she actually has $400 in the bank and 20,000 Marlboro miles) and she looks absolutely smokin’ hot! Even if the rumors are true that she’s broke, I think Lindsay Lohan will manage to get by on looks alone. Plus, she’s obviously got a great sense of humor about herself (or at least a publicist who has coached her in how to directly address the rumors about her life.
Plus, Lindsay is looking really good in this video. Throw in her throaty voice and the fact that she’s talking about losing her underwear on the first date, and I think Lohan will manage just fine. Call me!

I have heard nothing but good things about the show Human Giant. However, since I’m an HD snob, I never watch MTV anymore. It turns out I’m missing out on some pretty good stuff! They were involved with Amir and Streeter’s Prank War in an earlier iteration (when Amir nearly cried at their criticism of his acting), and I have seen the stars of the show on several shorts on the Internet. If only MTV woke up and realized that a) people want HD content and b) people want to watch clips of their shows online, perhaps I would be more in tune with these comic geniuses.
Fortunately, for us all, there is a web site called Funny or Die, which serves up amazing content on a persistent basis. In this video, Aziz Ansari from the new NBC show Parks and Recreation (which NBC is plugging HEAVILY right now) pretends to be an Olson twin in order to get into a club. When he gets in, he is hit on by Will Arnett, who is one of the most underrated comedians working today (G.O.B. Bluth and Europe’s Final Countdown anyone?) Even though Will is happily married to Amy Poehler in real life (and I’d imagine she got pregnant right at the time this was being filmed, since she gave birth in November and this aired in March), he sucked it up for this clip and pretended to be a man of the night.
This video is pretty off the wall, and the language isn’t very wholesome (not that anything I post on here is really SFW language-wise), but I feel compelled to post this, because it is one of the funniest videos that I have seen. Even funnier is the fact that it was published a YEAR AGO and I just found out about it last weekend when my buddy Kraig pointed me in the direction of this video. I normally pride myself on catching this stuff on the up-tick, but I totally dropped the ball on this one. This isn’t the last time you will see the word balls in this post.
On to the actual content of the video. Several great lines, most of them not of Christian nature. Read below at your own risk. I even filtered the really funny parts from this commentary!

The latest Will Ferrell video from Funny or Die. I will link to any video that features Will Ferrell singing for 80% of the time, and he gets his ass kicked the other 20%. More than anything, I think that this video represents a big advancement in the career of Will Ferrell. It seems like his last several movies have been so formulaic that they forget about being funny through witty dialogue, and try to be funny by putting Will Ferrell into a formula.
Basically, the formula is this: Will Ferrell is a very polarized character with a hobby/sport that he’s not particularly good at, but loves to play, he has some kind of funny hair style, and all jokes revolve around the hobby/sport/hairstyle. It started with Talledega Nights with NASCAR/Sideburns, went to the Ice Skating movie, and peaked with the awful Semi-Pro where he was a 70’s ABA basketball player with a big fro.
All of these ideas sound hilarious on paper. Will Ferrell is funny enough where he can pretty much do anything on camera and it’ll be funny. However, the comedy wears off a lot more quickly than the duration of a feature film, and most of his fan-base has grown tired of wasting their time on seeing these movies in the theater.
Enter Funny or Die, an online sketch comedy site where Will can satisfy his urge to create funny characters who fit a funny profile (in this case, long white hair, sunglasses, and a hobby of fighting with baseball bats). Interestingly enough, this is the exact same character Ferrell had played on the previous week’s episode of Eastbound and Down. We’ll call it a 2 for 1, because both were pretty funny in small doses.
Now that I’m done with my commentary on Will Ferrell’s career, the real star of this sketch is Will’s singing. Although not a strong singer, Will pours his heart out on this track, and does a pretty good job of getting his song into your head (I found myself singing it the entire weekend). For anyone interested in the lyrics of the song, here’s what I was able to get out of it (gave up after a few listens):
