Emmy Awards Opening – Glee Club Style

August 31st, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

I’m not a fan of the show Glee, but I can appreciate when things are well done… and this video was very well done.  It also featured some cameos from some of my favorite actors in roles that you don’t normally see them play.  For example, watching Don Draper dance with Betty White.  If this were Mad Men, Don Draper would be doing a lot more than dancing… he’d be making a drunken pass at poor Betty.

The premise of this video is that Jimmy Fallon runs into the cast of Glee before the Emmy’s.  He asks if they are coming to the show, but they can’t afford tickets to get in.  So, Jimmy decides to help them ‘Glee’ their way in for a cash prize that meets the price of admission.

They need to recruit more members in their club in order to have the proper number of competitors, and that’s where Tina Fey, Jon Hamm (Don Draper), Jane Lynch, Hurley from Lost and Joel McHale come to save the day.

Their song?  Born to Run by Bruce Springstein.   Watch the video to see a very well done homage to the Boss, and some good quality Glee club action.

Reno 911 Porno Parody Review with Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant

July 22nd, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

Don’t let the title fool you – this is a video from Funny or Die where the stars of the original Reno 911 react to clips they see from a porno parody version of the show.  This is a totally clean video (with the exception of language), so don’t be scared by the title.

Disclaimers aside, this is a pretty funny video showcasing fully clothed clips from the porno parody with some witty commentary from the original stars of Reno 911.  I have thought these guys were hilarious since they all starred in a sketch comedy show called the State on MTV.

Funny 3 minute clip that you should check out if you’re a fan of Reno 911 or anything with Tom Lennon.  Enjoy!

In their words:

“It’s got everything you want in a movie: comedy, improv chops, people f’ing the shit out of each other”

Mustaches: Tom Selleck vs. Burt Reynolds

March 16th, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

I love Mustaches.  My uncles sport them, the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s were filled with them, and they just throw out a tremendous vibe to the ladies.  I love them so much that I have spent $30 on a domain name dedicated to Saved By the Bell characters and mustaches over the years (savedbythestache.com).  That might be TMI, but I don’t care, it’s what I do.

Jimmy Fallon’s show also loves stache’s to the point that they have a running segment dedicated to them. In this clip, we have a stache off with Burt Reynolds from the 70′s and Tom Selleck from the 80′s.  In this clip a great premise is made a funny reality, Fallon laughs at his own jokes too much, and there are some life sized bristles above the upper lip that make a generation proud.

Stache’ on, America!!

On an unrelated/related note, I’m pretty sure that Selleckwaterfallsandwich.com stole one of my half baked ideas, but I still credit them for being pioneers!

Who is Justin Beeber?

March 10th, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

A week ago I had no idea who Justin Beeber was. Then my co-worker sent me a video of a 3 year old girl crying about how she loves Justin Bieber for 5 minutes. It was funny/cute, but I didn’t think it was worth putting on this site… especially because the video seemed staged (I can’t embed the video, but here’s a link)

Then I saw the video response on YouTube from Jimmy Kimmel live where the little girl and her love Justin are reunited. Still probably not worthy of the site, but getting better.

When Raaaaaaaandy releases a video about Justin Bieber, we’re finally ready for the prime time.

Not much to say about Justin Bieber other than the fact that there are all kinds of coke dealers across the US licking their chops each time this kid signs a recording contract. He will make them rich by the time he’s 21!  I can’t wait to see him on the Celebrity Apprentice 14 years from now.

“Little” Jersey Shore – Kids do Jersey Shore

January 25th, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

My friend Mandy sent this to me while I was on vacation and I’m finally getting around to posting it.   We all know that I like to post about the show Jersey Shore, and here’s one of the better videos yet!  It combines all of the great scenes from Jersey Shore and cute little kids.  You really can’t beat that combination.

There is some great casting for this video, with my favorite probably being the kid chosen to play Paulie D.  Mandy’s favorite is Snookie, which is also a good choice.  Someone sign these kids up for season 15 of the show in 2025!

Aziz Ansari on R. Kelly’s Craziness

January 24th, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

Chances are that I’ve grown a little too fond of Aziz Ansari, but he’s just hilarious.  Probably the most consistently funny comedian that I have seen in some time.

In this clip, he’s on Jimmy Kimmel discussing the craziness of R. Kelly.  I think most of it is made up, but it’s hilarious.  Enjoy!

Aziz Ansari Talking About Sheets on Conan

January 12th, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

Anyone who reads this site on a regular basis knows that I love Aziz Ansari.  I’ve already posted his Raaaaaaaandy Documentary and his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel.  Here he is on Conan talking about buying sheets.  Awesome stuff!

So the story goes that he got ripped off and bought 600 thread count sheets and they only had 296 threads!  Never buy a brand named Hotel Linens, because they are not as good as advertised.

“If that was a drug deal, I would have shot Hotel Linens in the face”

Jersey Shore – The Real Situation from Funny or Die

January 9th, 2010 | Posted by Jeff

Mike "the Situation"I must admit, I have grown to love the show Jersey Shore on MTV.  I originally just watched it to make fun of it, but I have to be honest, some of these people are hilariously self aware know exactly what they are doing with the “jerz guido” look and stereotype.  They are conscious of the fact people make fun of them, embrace it, and actually encourage it to a certain extent.   It’s almost to the point that I respect some of these people for knowing exactly who they are in life.   Most people can’t say that.

In addition, their publicity tour across America since the show aired has been pretty entertaining as well.   I already linked to the Jersey Shore Christmas Story on Jimmy Kimmel (in that video, I called them stupid and said they “have no idea how dumb they look on TV” – now that I have watched several more episodes of the show, I am convinced that they know exactly what they are doing.  I can’t help but respect that.

The Story of Christmas – Presented by Jersey Shore

December 18th, 2009 | Posted by Jeff

If you haven’t watched the train wreck of a show called Jersey Shore yet, you are missing out on some great entertainment. Just a bunch of people who have no idea how dumb they look on TV.   Here’s a clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live with three of the members acting out the story of Christmas.  Snookie, Paulie D and Mike “the situation” star in this funny clip!

Any time a bunch of Jersey “guidos” embarrass themselves on live television, I feel compelled to post it on this site.   Merry Christmas Baby Jesus!

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at a Dog Hotel

August 23rd, 2009 | Posted by Jeff

Easily the best ongoing segment from the Conan O’Brien late night program has always been Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. I have featured it on this blog in the past when Triumph went to the Bonaroo Music Festival, and here he is again, making fun of all of the people at an extremely swanky dog hotel in Hollywood.

Not much commentary to add to this video, other than the fact that Triumph is awesome, and Robert Smigel’s (the guy who puppets Triumph and makes the comments) ability to ad lib is pretty amazing.  Enjoy parts 1 and 2!
