Shamwow Guy Mugshot
So this video is a parody of the Shamwow commercials that area always on TV. In this instance, we are treated to a great video by a guy who looks/sounds a lot like the Shamwow guy (shown here in his mugshot after a crazy tussle with a prostitute), but is much more funny than the original guy… and hopefully less into working girls.
If you visit this site often, you will know that there are a few things that I really enjoy: parody videos of current events and making fun of douchebags. This videos allows me to do both, and I commend Becca for her contribution!
Easily the best ongoing segment from the Conan O’Brien late night program has always been Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. I have featured it on this blog in the past when Triumph went to the Bonaroo Music Festival, and here he is again, making fun of all of the people at an extremely swanky dog hotel in Hollywood.
Not much commentary to add to this video, other than the fact that Triumph is awesome, and Robert Smigel’s (the guy who puppets Triumph and makes the comments) ability to ad lib is pretty amazing. Enjoy parts 1 and 2!
I love the movie Boogie Nights, and I have always had a good time quoting the movie. One of my favorite characters is played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman when he was a relative unknown (one of his best characters that wasn’t Brandt on Big Lebowski).
This character is infinitely quotable in his creepiness, and I remember him telling Mark Wahlberg/Dirk Diggler “you look really sexy” and mockingly quoting him all the time with my brother when the movie first came out. The other classic line was after he tried to kiss Dirk Diggler, who did not succumb to his advances, and then sat there in his car hitting himself and saying how stupid he was.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, this gem of a clip put out by the folks at College Humor is pretty much entirely devoted to this part of Boogie Nights. Lots of creepy PSH impersonators here and lots of people making advances when the other person isn’t interested. If you like Boogie Nights, this is a must watch!
